Great Hammock, Disappointing rain-fly design. Very well designed high quality hammock. But the rain fly, while big enough, seems to be an poorly designed after thought. Works well for buttoning it up tight while leaving it. But if you are inside and need air, it is a hassle. They could have added a couple flexible poles to allow the rain fly to allow ventilation without having to add additional annoying strings to stake it to the ground. The rain fly always looks droopy like a cheap tent.
Great views available if you can shoulder the extra weight. Bought one for my 20-something son for his birthday and he loves it! It backpacks OK (the tightening ratchets are a bit heavy), is easy to set up (once you’ve practiced a few times) but isn’t very insulating. He and his buddy were fine in their sleep bags, but his Goldie was shivering. Had to have Indy sleep in his bag the first time and used a heat insulating blanket in the bottom corner and a doggie sweater the next time. In his opinion, at this price point, it isn’t an amazing…
Best tent ever I received the tent in a very timely manner. Getting the tent set up for the first time was a little confusing but after that putting it up is a breeze. The tent is very durable! I used it for a month while I was hunting through the wind rain and snow and stayed completely dry! I would definitely recommend this tent to anyone who is considering them! I have already had three friends buy one so we can try hooking them together
