The patented (D701,721) Solo Stove is a woodgas stove that incorporates a secondary combustion for a more efficient and cleaner burn. The bottom vents allow air to enter and flow up the bottom of the grate to feed the primary combustion, a top down smolder. In addition, air entering in from the bottom vents heats up within the inner wall and rises up and out the top firebox vents causing a secondary combustion at the top of the stove. This technique makes for a cleaner burn which means less smoke and also allows the stove to burn more efficiently.

Forget the Fuel: Our stoves cook your meals with nothing but the twigs you collect on your journey, eliminating the need for heavy, expensive, polluting petroleum gas. It’s easy to light, fast to boil and clean to use.

Gasify your Wood: A unique gasification and secondary combustion process lets our stoves achieve a highly efficient and more complete burn. This means you’ll use fewer twigs to achieve a boil. It also means less smoke while cooking.

Travel Lighter: The Solo Stove only weighs 9 oz and eliminates the need to carry fuel canisters – a great way to lighten your load. It also nests inside most pots leaving you with more space in your pack.

Stay Green: By using renewable resources for fuel instead of petroleum, you’re reducing your carbon footprint. You’ll also keep fuel canisters out of the landfill.

Be Prepared: The Solo Stove is great for any emergency situation. You’ll be able to cook and will never need to worry about running out of fuel.

Amazing. Splendidly happy. Amazing. Splendidly, astoundingly happy.I have probably 3 variations of jet-boils and MSR pocketrockets, which I brought on each 4 day canoe trip for the past 10 years. And I can’t say I had any complaints; they are awesome for a quick 2 cups of water for a Mountain House. However… that feeling of a half empty canister always bugged me, and I always brought an extra 2 canisters just in case. That’s extra weight, fellas.I bought the Solo stove to alleviate that feeling…

Solo stove rocks! My second unit, I gave my first one too a kid in Afghanistan. It boils enough water (half a pot) within 8 mins using locally sourced twiggs/small branches/wood chips. In fact it created so much interest that I would have young soldiers feed fuel to produce peak boil, then share a cupa with them, I know several guys bought them after seeing me brew up on frosty mornings in afghanistan savoring MRE coffee……I typically use a piece of fuel tab to get everything going (just cause I…

ditch fuel canisters for this I got this because my power went out during the winter for 3 days durring a blizzard and I had no way of cooking or boiling water. I had a backpacking stove….but no fuel. I was clearly not prepared. Now I am forever prepared, because you can burn whatever you want in this thing. There is no shortage of fuel around. I can just waltz out the door, grab some sticks, and have unlimited fuel. If you are a backpacker and plan on a 7 day backpacking trip into the wilds of some gorgeous…
