Great for Emergency Kit or Camp Site This is a great product; it’s a simple and brilliant idea. The plastic seems thick enough to stand up to a certain amount of abuse. I bought 2 of them – the original and newer version with the flash setting. They both provide enough light to illuminate an entire room. They’re perfect for an emergency kit at home or in the car, but we also intend to take them with us when we kayak. The flash setting would be an excellent emergency beacon if needed. We also intend to use them around the camp site to hang above the hammock in the evening. But honestly, the best part is that the company distributes these to individuals around the world who need an inexpensive light source or who don’t have access to electricity through their Get Light, Give Light program. I love that I’m able to help them support this effort with my purchase.
