“Multipurpose” is right! The retractable awning on my camper van broke on a recent trip and with this uniquely shaped portable awning that I had fortunately tucked into the van when I packed, I was quickly able to rig up a shade/rain fly attached from the camper to the screen house. It kept us and our equipment dry and looked quite unique. Small to pack, easy to use, and handy to have in a variety of circumstances.
Light, but takes time to install alone I used it several times already, and don’t quite like them. The ropes have a tendency to get entangled, and the metal sticks are short – don’t hold the shade in place when windy. I liked the shade, of course, when installed, but because it was time consuming every time when I was installing it alone, I would have preferred something which is easier to set up. I liked it is small and light.
Happy with this purchase! Very impressed with the construction of this tarp. I like how it can be adjusted high or low to the ground. Have considered getting my son one, which we would overlap to provide a wider lean-to type configuration. We hammock camp and I got this mainly to have a protected side area to cook food or hang out under.
