Good Knife. But buy strop too. I do a great deal of carving, in wood and antler. This knife is shaped perfectly for roughing out as well as detail work. However, the top portion of the blade will dull faster than the rest perhaps due to a factory tempering setting/method.. Great for twice the price ( update) It’s a Mora, it’s a laminate blade and it is razor sharp. What mora could be said. I really wanted to like this knife. It was razor sharp out of the box (seriously, it shaved hair off of my arm) and you can see how well made and durable it was crafted. I will definitely be adding other Morakniv carving knives to my collection. The wood handle is very comfortable to hold and to carve with for long periods of time because the oiled finish on the ergonomically shaped birch wood handle deters blistes from forming on your palms. I highly recommend this item to beginners or…
