For more experienced homeowners this is great for DIY. For contractors and properties managers, ignore the bad reviews I read so many reviews before buying this water heater. I own an old apartment building and each unit has it’s own water heater. I was looking at $1000 to $1500 units and then realized all of them required 3/4″ gas lines. NO GO. The great thing about this unit is that it uses a 1/2″ gas line. I was not about to bust a bunch of walls open. I do my own installation and I know that black gas pipe is a hassle. Happy so far ! Easy vent ! I am on day 3 with this unit and I am very happy with it! Still tweaking it but has performed as hoped for. I am also happy that I was able to vent through the old vent/ stack from the water heater I replaced. I had purchased another brand that required me to make a penetration through my wall, brick in my case, to vent their unit. Marey’s unit was simple and easy to connect and vent. I believe that someone used to working with hand tools and with some common sense could install this…
Tank no more! Loving this tankless heater We bought this device to replace a 14 yr old nasty tank that was calcified and giving my skin a nasty itch.I mounted this on studs directly under my existing vent for my previous gas tank heater.I couldn’t be happier with this products size and efficiency PLUS you get an awesome LCD screen with a digital temperature.I cannot comment on my utility savings yet, but I know it should go down significantly.Great customer service!
