The Coleman blue enamel percolator is built to withstand the heat of a campfire. We love to camp and I have used a large pot to heat water up for cocoa and for washing dishes. The problem with using a pot was trying to pour the water into a cup for making cocoa. I needed to find some sort of a coffee pot that could withstand a campfire. Had higher hopes for its durability. Haven’t used it yet, but it arrived chipped around the handle and I can hear the handle creak a little bit with a little pressure even though it’s welded to the pot. I imagine over time it will chip some more around the handle.

Great if Coleman would straighten out some serious issues!! I bought this percolator in 2013 and I use it everyday on my stove top. I love perked coffee and it is the highest capacity I can find. It is a pretty and well made pot. However… the stem and basket are awful! First off the stem is too short to bring the basket up to its proper height. Because of that you cannot fill the pot to it’s highest capacity unless you like a whole lot of grinds in your mouth. Secondly as so many other reviews stated the stem and basket are ridiculously flimsy. I…
