I felt like I followed the instructions … This is my third Chill Gorilla purchase, and while I’m okay with the quality of this underquilt, i’m less impressed with the huge (compared to any other outdoor brand I’ve purchased from) logo on both sides and the poor instructions. I felt like I followed the instructions pretty well and adjusted it so that there was a small air space between the hammock and the underquilt. On a 29 degree night in a 20 degree sleeping bag, I woke up uncomfortably cold only to find the underquilt suspended…
Great Price, Great Product I was fearful that it was not quality because of the price but a friend of mine appreciated one of their other products (rain fly) so I gave them a try.Comes with a very nice storage bag. I slept overnight in 23F weather (light wind) with no issues (warmer than I anticipated). Other equipment – I had a 20F Sierra Designs sleeping bag, EMS Crashpad sleeping pad, and Grand Trunk hammock (double). Previous times would get cold in my lower back without the underquilt…
Great product – would buy again and won’t use the hammock without! This under-quilt is fantastic! Makes laying in the hammock super comfortable. 5-stars for quality, but 4-stars for intuitiveness. There are 8 thin elastic strands (4 on either side) that you use to tie the under-quilt to the main hammock – it would be much easier to simply include some hooks to do the job quickly. That’s just me being nit-picky, everything else about this product was awesome though!
