For example, bring only three sections on your next backpacking trip to form the perfect A-frame tarp shelter and save weight in your pack. At the same time, you can use all five sections on your next car camping trip to make sure you have plenty of clearance under your tarp or awning.
In fact, you can even expand the range further. By skipping the lower section with the rubber foot, you can get the short end of the range down to only 18 inches. On the flip side, combine sections from both poles to get a single pole that is more than 12 feet long!

Freaking awesome tent poles It’s taken me a few years and several different tent pole purchases but I finally found exactly what I was looking for. These poles are very versatile that you can use exactly the height you need without being restricted to being at the mercy of the tent pole design. If you want to pitch a low tent or a high lean to tent, even if you wanted to build a tee pee type tent these poles are perfect. You only use what you need when you need it. Strong, Stylish and Packs Down Nicely I needed something like this and found a number of different products that could have worked and choose this one for a number of reasons. Versatility of product was first, with its different configurations and then strength followed. 7000 aluminum is what my tent poles are made from but don’t be confused by thinking this is a tent pole which is made to come together fast by being shock-corded and have more flexibility so it can bend, which these don’t. Not sure if they are better than a more expensive name brand or not since … Not sure if they are better than a more expensive name brand or not since I tried these first.Used on 4 setups. About 10 nights. 15mph winds on a kelty noahs tarp 12 broke them into 5 pieces.The included bag ripped the first time I tried to put them back.In addition to the failures. The rubber pads are a bit bulky, but work. They could be marked so that the adjustable middle poles are easily identified compared to the center poles.
