Great picnic / family game Fun game. A cross between bocce ball and horse shoes but unique in its own way. Played with 7 and 9 year-old kids, teens, and adults. Played on sand at the beach, long grass, and short grass. Each surface has its own speed and variations. Rules and scoring are simple. The wood nicks and gets small dents and surface scratches, but that’s to be expected of normal use. Really simple and fun Game is played like Bocce, except you have wooden rollers. Each side has a number. Whoever is the closest gets the points, depending on which side of the roller landed up. Really simple and fun to play. It’s meant for grass or sand, not for concrete.
ROLL – SCORE – REPEAT Ok, Not worth the $50 however. The game is straightforward lawn bowling. -1 star for construction. The disc ran off my lawn a few times and got banged up fast. With continual play they will need to be refinished. Maybe they should have been made of hard plastic. -1 for dark wood notch right in center of disc making the 5 hard to read. Poor Quality control. All in all pretty cool but I would recommend waiting for a more reasonable price. like $25.
