Doesn’t work to strap items in high winds I was using it to hold tarp down and initially I thought it was great as it fits easily and quickly and no need to tie knots. However, after a strong wind gust and an attempt to tighten the tarp it was on, the strap pulled out of the hook bases. Several of them did it and I quickly replaced the remaining ones on the tarp with other devices to keep them latched. I can’t trust these if you need some tension in the strap (I am talking perhaps 2 to 3 pounds – not a lot).

Not a good choice Save your money or buy other bungee cords that are more traditional. The first one I used broke when the wind blew the tarp. If there is not wind or tension to worry about, they may work.

Under tension I had 3 of the 8 pull straight out of the hook the first time I used them. If you do buy them, you probably will want to glue the hook to the bungee or drive another staple or two through them. Much better solutions out there that do not have this headache.
