Works, but needs some help. I have used this multiple times this fall from a hunting camp. Although the water pressure is good, it only heats the water lukewarm, and is rather uncomfortable to shower with especially in chilly conditions. I ended up adding a return line off the shower head line with flexible tubing and ball valves. The water is recirculated until warm enough, which takes less than 30 seconds, then redirected out the shower head. Another option is to preheat the water with a camp stove. Is this a perfect solution? No, but it works, and this unit is about $200 less than the top of the line Base Camp model which I previously owned, and failed after a year and a half because the internal rechargeable batteries would not take a charge. I like the D batteries because they can always be replaced, whereas it may not always be possible in the field to recharge units with rechargeable batteries.

THE BEST CHOICE Very impressed! I have an rv and prefer this to driving rv to get propane…and it’s so easy ! When living in Flagstaff,Az, had power failures..wish i had this ! Tried other water heaters but this was the best..and if power is out, you don’t need electrical connection to charge battery…this is run by D batteries !
