Timberline SQ 6 man tent review. I bought this tent to replace a Eureka “base camp.” The base camp has to be about 30+ years old and was what the 6 man timberline was called back in the 1980s. It’s still serviceable but showing it’s age. It was a no brainer to get another Eureka.I’ve been a lifelong tent camper and with 2 boys in Scouts I’ll be camping for several year to come. Outstanding All Weather Tent The Timberline SQ Outfitter 4 is a considerable improvement over the old Outfitter 4, which itself was a great tent. I’ve been in Scouting most of my life as a youth and as a leader, and started out in canvas tents. I camp about 10-12 weekends a year, mostly in spring and fall. They made their Timberline better!!! I have owned several Timberline tents over the years, including the XT Outfitter. The SQ Outfitter is a huge improvement on what was already a great tent.The vent in the peak, along with the spreader bar, drastically improves the ventilation.The rounded corner in the door, meaning a single zipper to open and close, is more “spider-proof”.The mess storage pockets have been replaced with much larger pockets that are sewn into the corners rather than just…
