UPDATED: Handy Portable Solar Water Heaters–I Got 104′ in 3 Hours I bought 2 of these after researching to replace ageing made-in-USA solar showers from the ’90s. I’ve been very pleased with the Advanced Elements 5-gallon model, and wanted to try these 3 gallon’s for a different location. They’ve worked well. Here’s my review, and temp tests:
Worth It’s Weight in Gold I used this on a recent camping trip to the outer banks of North Carolina (Ocracoke Island to be exact) over Labor Day weekend & although the campground provided showers in each section of the grounds, they were unheated showers. Cold ground water only. Not exactly the thing you want to do is get into a COLD shower on a hot day. Although that may sound good, it’s not.
