Cord works fine for up to 18 foot pole Only needed shock cord…and used 2 of the little washers…..so can’t speak to the rest. It worked ok….but as many have said, some instruction would be nice.
then this kit is good to get and for the price While the contents of this kit are handy to have for emergencies while camping, the length of cord is very short. I wanted to replace the cording in our tent poles for our Coleman 4 person tent and this cord fell too short to replace the length of cord needed for one side of poles (9 short poles). The only option was to use this tied together with other remaining cord on hand. If you need the replacement accessories, then this kit is good to get and for the price, not a bad idea to keep on…
A bit of a challenge to slide the bungees through, but the product works perfectly. Very hard to work the bungee cord through the tent poles, but with perseverance, I got it to go through. Not a limitation of the product — you want the fattest possible bungee, so it doesn’t just break again. To Coghlan’s credit, they included very thin wire to help in pulling the cord through.
