About Victorinox
In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener’s mother, and “inox,” or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer’s and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

Don’t Buy this Knife!!!! This knife used to be the best knife Victorinox made. They have changed the design of the magnifier. It is now the worst. The new lens is now plastic instead of glass and it falls out after a few uses. I replaced the first one because it failed immediately. Amazon would not let me return the second one because it failed after the return window closed. Do not buy this knife!!!! Also the picture being used by Amazon is misleading because it pictures the previous version of the Knife that…

Many tools on this perfect little Swiss Army Knife, “must have” for any active adult.Funny, MacGyver had exact same one episode. This was a gift I gave for a late Christmas. Unsure as yet as to how the person likes this Swiss Army Knife. To me, it was a “happy medium”, not too little on the knife side, & not too overbearing or bold having more than a person could ever possibly use. I recalled having a happy medium Swiss Army Knife I could carry in my pocket anytime, anywhere. Being a single parent (after divorce) with two sons gave me the ability to have a not too dangerous knife, yet a small knife,…

Great Multi-Tool, But The Pouch is Less Than Ideal I bought this knife for my husband and he loves it. He had been looking for a multi-tool that included a Phillips screwdriver and this one does. In fact, he says all the tools are handy to have and useful to carry around with him. He keeps this tool with him every day.The one issue he has is with the pouch. As you can see from the photo, the knife fits and the pouch does close, but not as flat and flush as it should. Because of this slight gap, he keeps the tool in his pocket so as…
