Perfect for many uses. Not a camper any more however; we decorate our yard at Christmas with many items. Pounding stakes to secure items with a claw hammer is a pain, literally. This hammer is perfect. Heavy head. Rubber cushioned handle, and perfect size to pound in the metal tent pegs we use on larger items. A note of caution: take care when using on cheap plastic tent pegs in hard ground.
Excellent Stake Mallet Very solid construction, good heft and grip, easy to get stakes in and later pull them out. Due to weight (a feature in my book), best uses include car camping, and securing commercial or display tents. Glad I purchased this item.
