Cheap plastic-tears easily! The plastic water bag tore after the first use!! It just couldn’t hold the water while it was filtering. While the ceramic filter appeared to work, the plastic bag appears to be of poor quality. This basically rendered it useless and we were left with no clean water for 4 days during our backpacking trip. Very disappointing.

I used it for the first time on a short hike and thought it wasn’t working so I walk away for a hour and came back to my 3 litter water pack full. I put the straw in the end of water hose (straw) and it was a nice fit no contamination from opening the top
Great for an emergency I bought this to hopefully never use, but living in California, it is nice to have a water supply plan if there is a major emergency. I opened the box and checked the contents and it seems to make sense. I have no clue if it will filter, but everyone else claims it does so I am in.
