Bought in 2016 – Amazing Tarp… If your seams are sealed properly I bought this rainfly for my Henney Hammock because the stock flies are just too small for my liking. My first experience with this tarp was positive, minimal rain and no leakage..However my second experience was much worse… I am in the Boundary Waters 8/3/17 and get hammered with rain. Before the rain started I was able to set up my camp and pitch what usually would be an excellent shelter to block the rain. Within 30 minutes my buddy said to me, “your hammock is leaking on…
… use this tarp for hammock camping and it works great for my extra long hammock I use this tarp for hammock camping and it works great for my extra long hammock. It holds heat in well during the winter and has plenty of tie-outs in order to secure it down well in many configurations. The material is somewhat thick which makes it a little heavy for a backpacking tarp but I don’t mind the weight.My only complaint is the bag it comes in which needs the tarp to be folded perfectly in order to zip shut. I tossed it and replaced it with a stuff sack to make set up…
