EXPLODED!!!! Unsafe!! This item is DANGEROUS! I placed it in the sun to recharge the batteries and it blew up! One of the green rechargeable batteries that are inside the top of the unit exploded and blew pieces of plastic and the top completely off! Small & mighty! These worked right out of the box without being charged. Bought these to use in case of power outages and sure enough we needed them a few days ago. These are small, lightweight and super easy to use. Just pull up on the top and they open and turn on. My daughter used hers as a night light by pushing the top almost all the way down so just a light light came out. Seems to work as advertised Update: I contacted Amazon again and this rep approved replacing just one light. This one was tight like the others so I am happy with that. I ran all of the lights completely down (that took several days and even then they had a faint glow!) and then set them in the sun for about 6 hours and they all performed OK.
