Great for a firepit or sunken fire. I am very happy with my purchase of this tripod. It is well built and should last many lifetimes.I have used it with a Lodge 4 quart, Coleman 7.5 quart, and Lodge 10 quart dutch ovens.I also put a Grillmark Chrome Cooking Grate 25″ on four chains connected to a 1.5″ ring to cook hotdogs and hamburgers on. I will upload a photo.I found it to be too short for the 25″ cooking grate without digging a hole for the fire or just using coals to cook over. It works well for…

Great Tripod but a Bit Short This tripod seems to be built great and would work perfectly if you are a in-ground fire pit. It was a bit shorter than I needed for my above ground fire pit so I bought 3 cinder blocks and set those under the legs to get a bit more height.My Lodge dutch oven has a spiral handle (helps keep it cool and easier to handle) which doesn’t allow the supplied hook to attach to the dutch oven, I went to the local hardware store and bought 1 foot of chain and two hooks.
