The 2-liter Wide Pac hydration bladder from Source outdoors features a wide opening for easy filling, cleaning, draining, and ice insertion. Source’s Glass-Like film is smoother
than standard TPU films with virtually no difference from glass itself, preventing biofilm build up and making the system virtually self-cleaning.
And the bladder retains a pure liquid taste with no plastic flavor. The Sawyer mini Filter eliminates 99.99999% of all bacteria (like salmonella), as well as other harmful bacteria which causes cholera
and e. Coli and 6 log (99.9999%) of all protozoa such as giardia and cryptosporidium. As you drink, water passes through the side walls of the filter’s micro-fibrous tubes,
trapping harmful bacteria and protozoa in the outer walls. The Wide Pac hydration system comes with a Helix bite valve.
This kit includes a 41-1/2-inch drinking tube, Helix bite valve, dirt Shield, Sawyer mini Filter, cleaning plunger, and Velcro loop.

Filter Works, Hose too short, inflexible & comes off I would like to have seen better functionality for the price. It needs a longer hose. The hose barely reaches over your shoulder to your face when worn in a backpack or camelback on your back. The hose is quite stiff and can come unplugged & spill water if you tug too much or catch it on the edge of your pack. The filter seems to work as it should (I drank 8 liters of mountain lake water through it this weekend and didn’t get sick). Love the open end for filling & clamping closed. Expected it…
Emergency and trekking I ve used this twice since 2018 and ive not gotten sick. Pros -light durable pack into a rear jean pocket if need be Easy to cleanCons-price . But then again it dies what it claims so you be judge.
Missing parts This item was ordered specifically for a hike I am leaving for around 2AM Saturday morning. The package came incomplete by not having the fitting and tube included that connects from the bladder to the filter. I am not impressed as I now have no working filtration system for my hike.
