Fast Hawk – Smaller, Faster and just as nice as the original I’ve had the larger SOG Tactical Tomahawk for some time now, and it has become one of my most used woods tools. The larger F01T Tactical Tomahawk is well made, holds a good edge, and holds up to my (almost daily) heavy use very well. I’ve wanted to use it as an everyday carry with my gear, but it was too heavy to justify. I wanted something just as nice but smaller, lighter and able to be carried easier. The RMJ Kestrel fits this need perfectly, but it costs over $400 so that’s hard to…

One Sharp Hawk It is really sharp. It seems to be balanced quite well for a cheap hawk. Even a novice can use this hawk and make it stick! The loss of one star is for the sheath it came with. After only a few uses, the hawk cut some of the stitching on the case which now makes it incredibly difficult to remove from the sheath. I think a kydex sheath would be a much better option. I have now made a leather sheath for it. Overall I would recommend for anyone to purchase at this price point.

Fun for hours of throwing I love these throwing axes. I have three of the fast hawks and one of the larger SOG hawks. They’re so easy to throw and give you entertainment for hours. They are easy enough to throw for someone who has never thrown an axe before. They stay really sharp and come with a sheath to protect the blade while in storage. They’re a little pricey but mine have lasted a few years of throwing without any major damage and I believe there is a warranty on them. Get you one, or a few!
