Not what you expect or it claims to be I am rather disappointed with this product. I encourage people to read the product reviews and look at the product description better than I did.I have two main issues with this item:#1- The “metal” is poor quality. The product description and package claims it is constructed of “carbon steel”… more like cheap aluminum which will bend under use. The handle is likewise poorly attached to shovel. Perfect for me purposes! I hate all the negative reviews for this item. I was in The Corps, so yes I know what an e-tool is. If you buy this expecting to take it into the battlefield and use it as a weapon, dig a fox-hole with it, and use it as back-up body armor then yes you will be disappointed. Could you use this items for those purposes? Solid product for the money, no issues with it. Decent E tool type shovel for the money. Does the intended job of digging cat holes. I intentionally beat mine on rocks, sand, dirt, trees, stumps, cacti and has still not broke. I really don’t understand all the negative reviews, this is actually a really decent e tool for the money. Yeah, the carrying case sucks a little, I wished it was MOLLE or at the least ALICE compatible. Being rerired military, I have confidence in this piece of gear and carry it in my bug out bag.
