Definitely a good buy if you need a large roof top tent Smittybilt has been hit or miss for me. I’ve bought a bumper, flares, CO2 tank and other stuff from them. The bumper didn’t fit well, the flares rusted within two weeks but the CO2 tank worked great. I was a little nervous about the quality of the tent but the reviews I found online looked promising. Best trailer tent ever I purchased this tent for my custom designed trailer. It is 76″ long and 47″ wide when close, so it is not really recommended by the manufacturer for a car top. But for a trailer works great. We fit two adults and two kids with ease. The quality of the materials is impeccable. The design with the extra coverage makes it great for the northwest, on rainy days. Smittybilt really done it this time.
Can’t give it a 5 star yet I haven’t actually used it yet. But I’m either going to give it a 5 star later or lower it. I’ve seen a ton of videos on it. And it seems very sturdy. I have not been in any other higher end brand roof top tents to compare. But this is definitely well built with semi poor qa/qc. Threads on some area they sewed over twice or is coming off. My only complaint is that your tent will leak without the rainfly on. Where they sewed the support around the star gazing zippers. It puddles up. Because it…
