Illuminate your campsite with the Rayovac Sportsman SP8DA fluorescent lantern with twin 9-watt fluorescent U-tube long-life bulbs. This Rayovac sportsman lantern will keep your campsite lit with 360 degrees of light all night long.

Durable and waterproof, the rugged SP8DA has three settings–high, low, and night light mode. On high mode, it offers a brightness of 300 lumens and lights up a 50-foot radius. The thick rubber handle is great for carrying or hanging your lantern, and it folds away for easy storage. The easily visible dial on top means you won’t have to fumble around in the dark for long to switch between the different modes.

The dual 9-watt fluorescent U-tube bulbs are powered by eight D batteries (not included) for up to 14 hours of continuous use on high mode (using the twin tube) and up to 30 hours on energy saver mode (single tube). This lantern uses F9W-1 replacement bulbs. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Very helpful during power outages… I already had one of these Rayovac battery-operated lanterns and recently purchased a second one on Amazon. I have another battery operated lantern by a different company but the light it emits is not nearly as bright as the Rayovac. I find these lanterns invaluable for power outages (which we unfortunately have in our locale). Perfect for power outages We have only 4-5 power outages per year but when everything goes totally black at 9pm and you have to scar your legs stumbling into the edges of coffee tables while trying to remember where the flashlights are, it’s not fun. Don’t buy this POS lantern. Don’t buy this lantern. It is not designed or made well. This product is a waste of money. The hand turning screw that secures the battery compartment on the bottom of the lantern is the worst design flaw and will frustrate you beyond belief. Try replacing batteries to see just how finicky the connection is. At best your hands and fingers will hurt. That hand screw requires the hand strength of a wrestler to tighten effectively. Getting lights to work after battery replacement requires patience…
