Stopped working at the worst time (Updated) Just got back from a weekend backpacking hike on a segment of the Ouachita Trail. This worked great when I tested it at home, and on the first day at two different spring fed creeks. The 2nd morning we were trying to fill up for the day. It wouldn’t punp anything. Drops were all I could get out of it. Took the filter out to check and it pumped fine, so the problem is the brand new 3000L rated filter that came with the pump. I put about 6 litres through this total before the filter clogges? My…
Great tasting water, but takes a long time to pump. The water (pumped from a stream in the beginning of the Appalachian Trail) tasted great, very clear and fresh. I didn’t give it 5 stars because it took about 30 min to pump around 2 gallons worth of water (about a tablespoon for every downward pump) and that got tiring very quickly.
Worked great, for half a bottle.. I was excited to use this product in the field. I was able to test it a little bit at home and worked fine. But when I was out on the trail, the pump stopped working. Tried backflushing but didn’t fix the problem. The pump went limp halfway through filling a bottle and now won’t pump anymore water. Was very pleased when this item was working, water tasted great and was clear, but extremely disappointed with longevity. Will be looking for a refund.Edit 10/4/17: I’ve been in contact…
