Great filter at a great price. Took a bunch of these to Puerto Rico after the hurricane. We gave them out and used them ourselves. There is very limited drinking water and people are having a hard time finding it. I was very impressed with the quality of this filter, and how handy it is. We tried it attached to a bucket, and used plastic bags. Worked great! Just wish it had another hose segment.
Excellent Water Filter Bought this to turn into a gravity filter. Worked like a charm! Pics are from my trial run before my backpacking trip. Poked a small hole in the side of the dry bag, screwed tight the little plug, attached the hose and filter, and then let the water flow! No leaks, or problems with the water filtering. The dry bag is 10 L (which I purchased from Amazon as well for about $13). Typical pre-assembled gravity bags will run you $75+. This filter and the bag cost me less than $35…

By using only the filter, one end is threaded to also work on a empty/clean 1 or 2 liter soda bottle for filtered(not purified) water for individual drinking. It won’t purify any water-borne cysts or gardia that make for intestinal problems…
