Hiker Pro design flaw at inlet port breaks easily I’m a seasoned backpacker and bought the Hiker Pro. I tested it at home to make sure everything works as it should. I went on a solo backpacking trip for 3 days and bought one nalgene bottle of water and trusting that my Hiker Pro would work. At the end of the first day filtering one Nalgene full, I disconnected the tubes and found that the inlet port with the quick disconnect simply broke off from the main body which renders the filter useless. Don’t Risk It. You’ve been warned. Mine broke after two backpacking trips. This was a total surprise considering the great reviews it had when I went to purchase last year. When I went online to get the customer service number, I noticed that there was one reviewer who had the exact same experience. Great filter really works on some very nasty water! This filter worked great! Anyone that knows me will tell you first and foremost I am a germaphobe.
