Gerber has been making survival knives for the US Military since 1968. The Strong-arm Fixed Blade carries on our legacy of tough-as-hell fixed blade knives for combat and survival applications. With a sheath that can be mounted in a variety of ways, this knife offers reliable use whether on-duty or off. Featuring a serrated edge, full tang 420HC blade with black ceramic coating, the Strong-arm was designed around the fundamentals of military survival training. Obtain a solid grip on the knife in all conditions with its diamond-texture rubberized handle. The striking pommel positioned at the base of the handle functions to break through hard surfaces for effective rescue operations, and ceramic coating on the blade offers subtle use through low visual profile, as well as preventing corrosion for long life of the blade. The Strong Arm’s modular sheath system is as important as the knife itself. With the sheath’s snap-together components, the operator can mount the knife vertically on MOLLE, horizontally on a standard 1.75″ tactical belt, or in a traditional drop-leg belt mount fashion. The Strong-arm Fixed Blade is designed and built in Portland, Oregon.

Wow! Very Impressed!!! I received this knife as a Father’s Day gift, and all I can say is WOW!I normally don’t expect very much from Gerber ever since they came out with all the lousy Bear Grylls knives that virtually break if you breath on them too hard! But after watching all of the very positive YouTube reviews on this knife, I decided I would add it to my wish list and see what all the hype was about. I must say, after using this knife for a while, I’m very pleasantly surprised! I think my opinion of…

10 out of 10 for the knife itself. Gerber StrongArm.Received today, I easily give it a 10 out of 10 for the knife itself. Are there higher priced knives available which are made with higher priced steel?Absolutely. While this certainly is not to replace my ‘Survive! Knives’ GSO 4.1 (M-390)…. this is an “excellent high value knife for the price”.I read about this at the beginning of 2015, I am not and have never been a Gerber Fan(boy), but after reading all the reviews, viewing every…

Grinding issues Wanted to try the Strongarm for some time now. The BDZ-1 steel (upgrade?) sold me on it.Good:Solid Knife with good handle and very useful carry options. Sharp out of the box but with an uneven blade grind that varied between 25 and 35 degrees. After spending some time correcting the grind on the edge I think it’s going to be a solid performer with a mirror polished razor sharp edge.Bad:Grind of the clip on the back of the knife is uneven. Quite so. Back of the…
