A must buy for night vision on a budget. I am a military combat veteran, so I have a lot of experiance with night vision. This is a Gen 1 analog low light device with a classic green display as you would see in the military. For a Gen 1 this is an outstanding buy. Most Gen 1 night visions will have a small spot or 2 in them which is natural, and so did mine. Mine was located in the outter right portion of the monical and is hardly even noticable. The clarity is way beyond what I could have expected out of older technology like this…

Excellent optic I quite enjoy this monocular. It sees quite well at night, especially during a full moon, however a full moon is not essential to this working. The max range that I’ve seen in pitch black is about 200 meters. Under a full moon’s light, it’s much further than that. It is a Gen 1 NVD, so it’s not the clearest visual, but is well worth the price. The IR light doesn’t extend very far for me, even in a pitch black room, so I’m going to purchase an IR flashlight one of these days. It’s a 3x…

I love this monocular Although I bought one of these from Optics Planet a couple of years ago, I thought I’d chime in here at Amazon anyway. After comparing Amazon’s price to what Optics Planet is now charging, I’m seriously considering buying a second unit from Amazon just to keep as a backup.
