The Vertical Zipper Makes It Difficult to Crawl Out Of I don’t remember that glorious day that I emerged from my mother’s womb, but I can’t imagine it was more difficult than emerging from a hammock that is surrounded by this bug net. Not only is it difficult to crawl out of but it is not well made. For one it is too small for a double hammock. If one does not secure the ends by tying knots in them, the bug net will recoil towards the center. When one does secure the ends, it puts so much pressure on the ridge line hooks that the netting began to…

Minor tweak and you got yourself a bug barrier First of all, I camp in the Florida marsh/swamp land where the mosquitos are scarier than the alligators. I rather enjoy hammock camping because I never have to worry about pitching a tent, clearing rocks etc. As long as you find 2 trees within 15 ft of each other your set. But the drawback to hammock camping is your much more exposed to the elements, along with the dreaded mosquitos, flies and no-see-ums. This net drastically reduces the bug bites. Just a touch small Being a bigger guy, I found this bug net to be just a touch small. I found that I have to rest the bug net on my ridgeline, otherwise it will draw too tight around me and compress the fill on my underquilt. Once I figured that out, it worked very well for me. The center zipper to get in and out seems just a touch small. It was a bit awkward to get in and out of this bug net when there is hammock, underquilt, and sleeping bag to get in to through the little zippered door. Overall though, it did…
