the performance of the fan was better than expected This is actually a “double review”: First, the fan worked very well, kept the air flow consistent, was quiet, forceful, and actually matched a lot of the reviews that showed when I ordered/purchased! But, Second, it only worked for about 3-4 hours before it slowed and then stopped. Others complained of the same problem. 7 years later, still going strong We have had five of these fans for 7 years, which I purchased from Amazon. These little fans are lifesavers! I am back to buy more. Latest use? Hurricane Irma. One set of batteries in each of them, shy of 36 hours in constant use, on low, provided plenty of airflow to mange sleep in the extreme heat of south Florida with the shutters still up and no real airflow otherwise. The batteries still have juice in them.For an ideal set up, I would recommend 2 fans per person for sleeping…
Great, handy fan After reading so many negative reviews, I decided I needed to chime in. I owned this fan for 2 years. Originally bought for tent camping, yet decided bed-side was also quite convenient. I used it regularly for night sweats and the batteries still lasted 2 years. I traveled with it also, since it easily folds down. The only reason why I’m replacing now is because my kids liked it also and dropped it poolside. Now it only works upside down… This is by far the greatest little fan out there!
