After further inspection i found the hinge for the battery door was broken right where the screw goes in, not fixable… less I wanted to duck tape the batteries in.
Good overall lantern Works great and is fairly bright. I put in a set of fully charged 7000mAh D-cell NiMH and this thing ran for 10 hours on the high setting before shutting down. It, of course, got a bit dimmer towards the end, but appeared at least as bright as the low setting. This, I think, is great. The run time listed here are incorrect. Coleman’s website shows 30 and 70 hours on high and low, respectively.
Good Lighting Lantern gives off good light. I’m satisfied and plan to use it as backup lighting in my garage.
