I initially bought this hammock as a gift for my cousin and thought the write up was funny, but after trying it out I instantly I’m a hammock camping enthusiast, and I’ve owned them all. ENO, Grand Trunk, Simple Life exct. I even made a few after not finding quite what I wanted. However, Bear Butt in quality and price far exceeds them all! I initially bought this hammock as a gift for my cousin and thought the write up was funny, but after trying it out I instantly put my prized ENO hammock up for sale and purchased a Bear Butt, it’s so practical and easy to use, perfect for beginners or experienced campers. I have done a lot of research on different hammocks, but not only does Bear Butt provide their personal number, they happily answered my paragraph of questions about their product as well! I put it up and took it down in under 10 minutes on my first try. Amazing quality hammock, 6’2″ guy fits very comfortably even with gf, as well as great customer service. Would buy again. This is the very first parachute hammock I’ve bought, and I could not be happier! The shipping was crazy fast. I ordered on Monday, and it arrived Wednesday morning, even though shipping was estimated 5-7 business days. I immediately noticed the fine quality of the hammock as soon as I took it out of the box, and that impression remained with me when I sat in it for the first time. As a 6’2″, 200lbs guy, I have no struggle finding a comfortable way to lay in it. Now, I bought a double because I wanted to use it with my girlfriend as well. It was still very cozy and comfortable with the both of us in it, and I felt very secure knowing that it can hold up to 500lbs. The best part about this hammock is how easy it is to set up, take down, and pack into a backpack. It takes up the same amount of space as a large water bottle, and it’s very light.
Shopped around for 3 hours: this is the best I probably shopped around for 3 hours total reading all the specs and reviews of every hammock on Amazon, and concluded that not only is this hammock comparable to (and in some ways better than) ENO, but you absolutely CANNOT beat the price for what you’re getting. I wasn’t sure I wanted to get a double, which you have to for this brand, but through reading reviews learned that doubles are much more comfortable, AND I can have friends fit in it with me! I’ve now had my Bear Butt for 2 weeks and I LOVE IT! There’s a park a block from my apartment with perfect hammocking trees and I love spending my time there chilling in my new hammock. This was the very first hammock I’ve ever bought and I am confident I made the best choice!
