The Taurus is a simple 2-pole freestanding dome tent that is enhanced with 2 doors and 2 vestibules (one over each door) with extra large #8 zippers to make entering and exiting the tent hassle free. The two doors each have a mesh window, which is great for ventilation… and when it’s time to put on the fly, you won’t have to worry about losing your fresh air. The fly has additional vents for continued ventilation. ALPS tents each come with a factory sealed fly and floor seams to give you the best weather protection and keep you dry. EXCELLENT tent – but go for the Lynx version if you can This is a 5 star tent – with a caveat. The caveat? The (Lynx 4-person tent) is worth the extra few bucks. A decent 3 season tent, with a few minor quality issues I have used reviews to buy products on Amazon but never wrote one myself. I figured it is payback time.Upgraded from store brand tent to this one for an upcoming car camping trip to Smoky Mountains. On 3 of the nights it poured for most of the night and was in the 30s during the morning.PositivesOn the nights that it rained everything was dry inside and outside of the tent.
