Great backpacking tent! I purchased this tent for a solo backpacking trip into the mountains in NM. It was a pretty good climb so I was being pretty weight conscious (on a reasonable budget). I debated between the one person model and the two person. I had read the reviews and checked out the measurements on both. I opted for the two person model, hence the review of this product. The extra dollars and the extra pound and some change were well worth it. First off it would definitely accommodate two people and…
Excellent tent! Used on Skyline Dr Excellent tent! Used on Skyline Dr. / Blue Ridge Pkwy. motorcycle trip. In rain and dry. No leaks, Rain fly overspread with room to stow boots and bags under cover at night in easy reach, fly doors can be pegged and still half open for easy in-out. Top vents a plus and work. When I forgot to open them one night the tent did sweat inside, when open they will “vent” and breath. Two door access and exit a plus. Alum poles not fiberglass great quality, never a problem. Up and down in…
Good tent for the price Tried this tent out in Dolly Sods, WV on 4/26/14. Heavy rains and 45 MPH winds and it kept me nice and dry. Easy to setup in about 7 min, free standing and the stakes are better quality than expected. The rain fly provides 2 good sized vestibules on both sides of the tent. You would be hard pressed to fit 2 full sized adults in it but for 1 adult and gear its fine. The weight is the biggest drawback. At over 5lbs with the fly and stakes, it’s pretty heavy for backpacking.
