The original grill had a simple round bar approach that was easy to clean with a brush The new grill lacks the flavorizer bar and has a new grilling surface that is impossible to clean. When cooking on the original “Go Anywhere” grill any drippings would land on the flavorizer bar and be turned into smoke. Also, the new grill surface is a flat surface that is extremely hard to clean. Nothing like the original I currently own 3 Webers: The Performer, A Natural Gas Genesis and a Go-Anywhere Gas Grill that I’ve had for almost 17 years. I bought this new 2014 version of the Go-Anywhere to replace my old one. The new model has obviously been cost-reduced and is nowhere near the quality of my old grill. The legs are a lighter gauge and arrived bent out of shape. I’ve tried to reshape them, but still can’t get this grill to sit level without wobbling. I’ll probably end up taking the legs off my old…

A great grill “improved” to useless. Before Weber replaced the flavorizer tray and wire grate with the new porcelain grate, this was an excellent gas table-top grill. I’ve owned these for years. Now, with the “new and improved” grate, it’s not worth your consideration. Try to find something else.
