Great if used properly!! Great camping grill if used properly.First, I would not cook directly on it right away. As other reviewers have mentioned it is painted black and it will peel off. I purchased two 16×9 Griddles (See below) which perfectly covered half the grill. The griddles are reversible. I was able to boil water and make coffee on one half of the grill, while at the same time cooking anything from bacon & eggs to burger & dogs on the other side. I have never had a better camping/cooking…

Excellent camping grill! My wife bought this for a Labor Day camping trip. After reading reviews about the paint/oil dripping off during the first use I placed the grate on the fire upside down to burn off anything before actually cooking on this grill. This warped the grill (no SUPRISE) but after it cooled it went right back to normal.Used the grill for the next 3 days with excellent results! No complaints at all! Held up and was sturdy, no “melting” as in some other reviews. I would definitely buy this…

You should burn the grill first to get rid of the paint! This is a great grill, compact and durable. For those people complaining about the paint smell, you have to burn the grill before using it. Just put the grill upside down over the fire for some minutes and you will burn the paint. Same every time you use it so you kill bacterias and remove rests of grease or food you have cooked before.
