Great for Fire Pit! Great fire pit griddle! With that being said, I’m sure some experiences will differ. My fire pit burns at around 1200. 24 inches up its only 850 according to my Fluke 62 Max+ infrared thermometer. The great part to me is to control the heat you can just add or remove bricks to raise or lower the grate height from the heat source. It’s like having a gas burner control knob for my outdoor fire pit. Cleanup was easy with a wire grill brush and a hose. I’m not sure what other people were…
I had one disappointment with this I had one disappointment with this, but maybe I just didn’t notice before I made the purchase. I had in mind that the expanded metal grating of this would be flat, thus making it great for cooking burgers. It isn’t flat. There is a hump where each opening is. This makes it unsuitable for easily getting a spatula under food while it is cooking.
