The second unit only produced tall yellow flames, which has been identified as a problem by other reviewers. The packaging could really be improved too. This is a great stove! Our 21 year old Coleman stove, model 424, from 1991 (the date is stamped on the bottom, along with “Made in U.S.A.”), has been on many camping trips, and has been extremely reliable over many years and through all kinds of weather. It has never been repaired, and still works fine to this day.

A FINE COLEMAN PRODUCT Coleman makes a fine product and has for many years. Our old one only lasted 55 years. Probably could have fixed it but I wanted a new stove. This is a big stove. I love the extra room. If your looking for a compact Coleman stove, this is not it. They make smaller sizes.Works great. Best if you have more people to feed.
