Burn Times (Indoors) I purchased this stove for emergency use in our home should we loose all power. It works fine. One of the issues for me was burn time. I did my own experiments and came up with the following:

Time tested I purchased this in 1992 and use it regularly while camping today. It uses 16 oz short propane cylinder. The unit has two parts the base and the burner. No it does not include the first propane cylinder. You can buy them at most retail stores and sporting goods stores. They are very inexpensive,

Larger than it appears in picture. Probably too large and heavy for backpacking for most people. As another reviewer pointed out, this is not really good for backpacking. Most people would find it too big for that purpose. I wanted it for a cross-country motorcycle trip but was suprised at how large and heavy it is when I received it. It’s larger than it appears in the pictures. I know how large the cannisters are because I use them for many purposes so that should be a could point of reference about size but, for some reason, the pictures don’t really represent how large it is in…
