I knew that going into it but it was a good alternative till I can afford one Itâs not a Green Egg! I knew that going into it but it was a good alternative till I can afford one. I cook on it every night and have learned like any grill it has its quirks. At first I thought it cooked way to hot then I figured out you have to adjust the temperature before it reaches beyond what you want it to be. Let it get close to what you want to cook at and then use the factory settings before it gets there a1/4. Plus 1/8 etc… And she will hold that temp the entire time you grill…

you could certainly do worse than the Char-Griller Kamado Jr Bang for the buck, you could certainly do worse than the Char-Griller Kamado Jr. It’s an easy way to see if you have the patience required to use a kamado style grill before splurging on something bigger.Unfortunately, mine looks like it was poorly manufactured. As you can see in the photos, the top is warped and doesn’t line up with the bottom of the grill. This causes the grill to not seal properly, and doesn’t get nearly as hot as it should.
