It is quite stable for cooking over the open fire. It also breaks down rather easily for storage. There are certainly more heavy-duty ones that might handle several big pots (that would be a stretch on this one) but those won’t break down easily. The nice thing about this is the convenience I already had a grill similar to this one and I liked it so much that I ordered one as a gift. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened this brand up and found the grate, legs, and design to be even better than the one I currently have. The grate has a “lip” around the edge which is a nice feature that helps keep your food from rolling off when you swing it over the fire. Quality worth the cost Hard to find grill with such a large cooking surface (20″ +) diameter grilling surface & has a ridge around the edge so hotdogs etc don’t roll off. VERY STURDY, never had any issues with the legs and could move it around whenever we wanted and it was never a problem. All other grills I’ve seen end up collapsing etc. Nice carrying bag that fits the grill easily. Was able to leave the top tripod part assembled for quicker assembly in the future. Love it. Very VERY glad I spent the money…
