I like everything but the name :/ Direcon…..dire consequences… How about a more upbeat name? Way better than the LifeStraw. No sucking until your blue in the face! Just pump away. Works great as long as before first real use, you clean the hoses in warm soapy water and then rinse them really well in cold water. Then pump about 20 gallons of fresh tap water through the unit to get the plastic taste out of it. Then run fresh water through the hoses before drying it out and storing it.
Compact I bought this to add to my hunting pack and replace my life straw. The life straw was nice, but I wanted something that could fill a container. We were out this past weekend and one of our group didn’t pack enough water for our hike. Lucky for him I had this filter. He filled up rather quickly from a spring and we were on our way. Very happy with this product!
