This provides multiple hanging options. For maximum protection from the rain set up the XL Rain Fly in the rectangular shape using all 6 cords. For speed and ease set up the XL Rain Fly as a diagonal diamond using only the 4 corner cords. Each of the cords is pre looped at the ends to make it a cinch to secure the XL Rain Fly to the ground. Over all great rain fly This rain fly is truly a wonderful thing, plenty big to cover any hammock but yet very lightweight. I have slept through a thunderstorm with a very heavy downpour and was dry the whole night. There is little pockets for the two main cords. Over all build quality seems very high.The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because their is a seam in the rain fly and some water did manage to get through, the amount of water was nominal it was stopped by the bug net on my hammock so…
Meh… Pretty bad… The material has significant stretch to it. Best of luck keeping it taut. The guy lines that it comes with are poor quality. The ridge line is too short and poor quality. Sealed the steam on both sides. There was light coming through the gaps between stitches and the needle holes. It’s not really waterproof either and soaks up water which it makes it sag even more. If you’re buying it to use for shade, or your in a very mild climate it might work out for you. Otherwise, take a pass.
Should be wider Kept me dry through a 8 hour light rain. I would prefer the a little more material on the sides. With my first setup the hammock bliss sky bed hammock was touching the side of the fly. I added 2 more tie outs with some tarp clamps which solved the problem. I also purchased a Eno Dryfly for my son. I wish I had spent the extra money and purchased 2. On the plus side setup is simple and quick.
