Burned out batteries when off – with the second time ending in a ruined device with stuck batteries I wanted to like this. I bought it to replace two Streamlight 44931 models that had lasted a long time but were lost in a fire. This thing is sooooooo bright This thing is so bright, itâs perfect for just about anything you need illuminated. I sometimes hang it on a plan book and use it as a stationary light for my back porch. And I will have it handy in case of a black out. Great to be able to use it without Having to plug at another light into my generator if that happens. Worth every penny.
Very Bright The CORE 1000 Lumen LED lantern is great. It is very bright. It will be great for my emergency kit. The dislike is that it does not have a substantial feel to it…it is plastic. It looks like it is metal but it is not. It takes 4 D size batteries so that is a lot. The flaming candles is kind of cool and creates an ambiance but I’m not sure if it will be useful for me.
