Adventure is moments away when you set up the Coleman® 6-Person Instant Cabin. Pre-attached poles make setup a simple matter of unfold, extend and secure, so your cabin and the integrated, vented rain fly are ready in about 60 seconds. If it rains, the Weather TecTM system and its patented welded floors and inverted seams will help you stay dry. Inside, there’s enough room to stretch out on two queen-sized airbeds, and two storage pockets help to keep small items organized. When it’s time to head home, the tent easily packs up into a carry bag with a rip strip until you’re off on your next adventure.

Quick and Easy Set-up but There are Some Design Flaws This is the second Coleman Instant Tent that I purchased. The first one is the one that currently retails on Amazon in the $180 range. I returned it, because it leaked from some of the seems. When I went to repurchase the Instant Tent, I noticed this cheaper one and jumped at it thinking I was saving some money. But, this blue tent appears to be an earlier model (gen. 1), as the tent material is thinner and it does not have the Coleman lantern logo on the side (which in the $180 version are…
Great Tent! Extremely Easy and Fast SetUp! This is a terrific tent, and every bit as easy and quick to put up as they say. Taking it down can be a bit of a puzzle, since it’s somewhat counter-intuitive (the knuckles bend backward and the hub needs to be up), but it gets easier with practice. If you want to keep it more compact, and not have to pull the rip strip on the bag, roll it up after collapsing it, rather than try to fold it first, and just keep rolling until the trapped air is out. Do get the rain fly â you’ll need it â but…
Update: 7/11/2017 Worked fine first time I used it. Had a slight problem getting the arms to lock but no big deal. 2nd time I went to set it up (a year later), it wouldn’t lock at all. I spent 4 hrs trying to get the arms to lock. 2 other people with me had a similar but different Coleman Instant tents, and they couldn’t get it to lock. Brought it home and worked on it for a couple of days to no avail. Had to throw it out eventually.
