A better replacement for the Voodoo hawk Shorter and smaller than I expected it. I ran some small tests with it and the penetration is good for small branches. Hammer design which I have been waiting on SOG to introduce to their axes is perfect for tent stakes. The fire striker only works on the blade edge and nowhere else, which eventually does cause some small nicks in the blade which isn’t the end of the world but that pretty much/somewhat is expected and is disappointing on how easy it is. Much better than I expected. This is a solid piece of gear for under $100. The only fault I can find is the sheath. It really should have been Kydex. I gladly would have paid an extra $10 for a better sheath. It’s a very well machined quality piece of steel. The full tang makes all the difference & sets this apart from all their other Tomahawks. The fire steel in the bottom is a nice touch but it is very thin. So before you break it in half make sure you support it when you strike it, don’t hold it at the handle. I’ve…

Good solid steel, comes very sharp, but a little unccomfortable. The quality of the steel and overall construction on this tomahawk is quite good, but the design could be better. I’m not a big fan of the ridging along the upper handle, it might help when wearing gloves but it’s rather uncomfortable in the bare hand. The paracord on the lower handle provides a very nice grip. If you want something to chop wood you’re better off with a proper hatchet with a more shock-absorbing blade, but this will get the job done.The blade came sharper than…
