Great lantern! Batteries included!! These are great lanterns. I bought 2 in preparation for Hurricane Florence (hope we won’t need them). You can adjust the handle position and brightness (2 light levels). They are really light weight and compact so will store easily when not in use. Four AA batteries were included which is helpful as stores are out of C and D batteries.
A weak design This lantern does not cost much, which is good. When you go to turn the plastic screw on the battery door do not use much force and it only goes a quarter turn. I turned it with what turned out to be too much force and broke off the tabs on the screw and I really didn’t think I was using too much force. These tabs keep the screw from falling out and also lock the screw in place. I solved this by putting a piece of scotch tape over the screw after putting the batteries in. Otherwise, without the…

I was a little nervous about buying this product because of the 3 reviews that had one star, until I realized that the bad reviews were from buyers who were describing different products (flashlights with a flashing demo mode, and a product that uses 8 batteries, not four).
